Landscape construction
Building gardens that add value to the space: groundworks, drainage paving, planting of trees, shrubs and perennials, and the finishes that hold it all together.
Porto · landscape design & build
Design, construction and maintenance of outdoor space. We work every stage of it, from a single maintenance visit to a complete landscape project on an estate.
What we do
Most gardens need more than one trade. Plantox carries the design, the groundwork, the structures and the planting in-house, so a terrace, a pool surround and an irrigation run are one project rather than four contractors.
Building gardens that add value to the space: groundworks, drainage paving, planting of trees, shrubs and perennials, and the finishes that hold it all together.
2D plans, 3D visualisations, or a complete 2D + 3D project. The 3D is there so you can see the result before anything is dug.
Ongoing maintenance for private clients and for companies, including hotels, industrial parks and other green spaces. Pruning through to cleaning the paving.
Timber decks and pergolas for shade and for living space, built as part of the garden rather than dropped onto it.
Design and installation of pools integrated into the surrounding garden, including the deck and planting that frame them.
Installation of automatic irrigation, planned with the planting so the water goes where the plants actually are.
Turf supplied by the roll, with or without laying. Also seed and fertiliser through the Plantox store.
Management and clearance of woodland and wooded areas, for owners of larger land outside the city.
Selected work
Private gardens, urban estates, roof terraces and hotel grounds. Three of the projects below are named by location; the rest are from the company's own archive.
How it is built
The detail people notice in a Plantox garden is usually the metal: Corten edging holding a gravel bed, a planter running the length of a balustrade, a fire pit that has taken on its own rust. It is the single thing their Google reviews mention most, alongside the quality of the materials.
The same team designs it, fabricates it and installs it, which is why the edge line is straight and the planting sits where the drawing said it would.
Process
The working method Plantox applies to every project, from a courtyard to an estate.
Every project starts with a detailed look at the site: the character of the ground, how the sun falls on it, and what you actually want from it.
The space is measured properly. Those measurements are the base the design is drawn on and the reason the build matches it.
The design team turns the brief into drawings, in 2D or in 3D, with each detail considered so the finished space is as usable as it is good-looking.
Plantox handles the logistics: selecting the right equipment and sourcing the materials, so the build runs without stoppages.
Outdoor projects meet weather and surprises. The work is adjusted as needed so the result still lands where it was meant to.
Maintenance afterwards, so the space holds its condition: pruning, plant care and cleaning the hard surfaces.
On quoting
Plantox says so on its own site, and it is worth repeating: paying for a design package you do not need is the most common way to waste money on a garden.
